Home to Keopu Kona coffee
Aloha and Welcome To Hobee Acres Home To Keopu Kona Coffee

Our farm is family-owned and operated, a small batched farm ideally located at 1,700 feet elevation on the slopes of Mount Hualalai. We are located up off of Keopu Mauka Dr in Holualoa which lies center in the Kona Coffee Belt home to award winning coffee farms and where the world famous Hawaiian Kona coffee is cultivated.. .
We gingerly tend to little over 3 acres of trees from planting seed, fertilizing, pruning, harvesting - hand picking, processing, bagging and personally shipping from our farm to your home.
Offering both Organic and  Kona Estate Coffee.
We only sell 100% Kona Coffee.
Extraordinary coffee begins by taking extraordinary measures. Hand picking Kona coffee protects its unique flavor, intensifying the flavors and bringing you a cup of 100% pure Kona coffee.
" Coffee with ALOHA."

Meet the crew.

Offering 100% Organic Coffee means employing a very special crew-

Our very special crew consists of 2 Security donkeys, a team of 23 organic lawn mowing sheep, our very own bug and coqui frog control chickens and of course a few boys-(roosters) to keep the girls in line as well as 3 goats - I'm not really sure what there job is?? But I have heard they keep harmony in the farm so I'm sticking to that.
We also have a couple of dogs a few cats and 2 kids, and what ever stray or rescue is brought through our door!

Our coffee process~

Our coffee is handpicked at its ripest; this is referred to as cherry. After picking, the beans are placed in water to remove the floaters. This is done to ensure no hollow beans make it to the roaster.
The beans are then put through a machine called a Pulper. The pulper removes the red outer skin from the beans. The beans are then soaked overnight in water after which they are spread out on a platform called a hoshidana, with UV protection cover, to dry.
Once the beans are dried they still have a layer of husk, called parchment. The parchment is left on, and the beans are bagged and stored  until they are ready to be sorted and roasted.
When we are ready to roast, the parchment is removed by our milling machine and the green beans are then hand sorted. Sorting is done to remove any broken beans and "fingernails". These beans are then ready to be roasted. Hand weighed and bagged and ready for order.
